the NLS training

this week, i've been doing my lifeguarding (NLS) and i wish to share my week

DAY 1: we learned how to run on the deck. all my life, i've been taught to NEVER EVER EVER run on the pool deck... then, what do we do on the first day?? we run on the deck...nbd.

DAY 2: fought in the water. well it was considered "stuggling" but it was pre-much fighting.

DAY 3: strapped people onto spinal board. at times, thought about leaving them there to get out themselves... how cruel.

DAY 4: did sits most of the time while in the pool...when i acted out lumbar spinal, i think that some guards in the office came out to check that everything was ok :)

DAY 5: EXAM DAY!! PASSED!! when i went in for personal feedback, Rick said that i had a ROCK STAR eggbeater! WOOT WOOT!

birthdays are the BEST!!

i spend MONTHS counting down to my birthday, so when my birthday gets here...it's a BIG DEAL!

Today was a WONDERFUL day!! besides the fact that i had to wait 2 hours to get my g1... it was FAN-TAS-TIC (said like nacho libre)

highlight: deffinatly without a doubt DRIVING on the road legally for the first time!! it was AMAZING!! i was so excited the whole time... i was gripping the stearing wheel SO TIGHT... my arm was so sore after the 10 minute drive. :)

it was the BEST 10 minute drive EVER!! WOOT WOOT!!

10 bad. 20 good.

10 bad:

1. i had to go to school
2. i had to go to class
3. i had a history test
4. i didn't study for my history test
5. it tried snowing, but instead it rained
6. i didn't get a hug at the end of the day
7. i had to help someone write a test in English
8. i had to take the bus home
9. aaron wasn't on the bus to talk to
10. mom keeps asking me to do things...i just don't want to.

20 good:

1. today was the last day of school before march break
2. i have no homework
3. the history test was decent ... think i passed good
4. mom bought me a chocolate milk for lunch

6. i finished all my English in class
